Click on Object Properties and select Plane01 from the list. Set it to Cloth and under Cloth Properties > Presets pick Satin. Do not close this window yet.

On the left, under Objects in Simulation click Add Objects, select Cylinder01 and set it to Collision Object. Now hit OK.

Now you should test and see how it works. To start/stop the simulation click Simulate Local and to go back to the initial state hit Reset state. If the movement of the curtain is awkward than you should decrease the radius of the cylinder.
