In today's tutorial we will learn to create a hammer head using polygonal modeling in 3DS Max.
We will start in the Front View by creating a box 60 units long, 60 wide and 30-40 high. Center the box on the grid, it will help you align other objects later.
Convert the box to an editable polygon or add an Edit Poly modifier. Go into polygon subobject mode, select the back poly and bevel it (Height: 15; Outline Amount: -10).
